Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the planning and coordination of all aspects of weddings, including ceremonies, receptions, and related events.
- Assist with meeting clients to discuss their vision, preferences, and budget for the wedding.
- Research and recommend suitable venues, vendors, and service providers for the wedding.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers to ensure the best value for the client.
- Create detailed timelines and schedules for the wedding day and related events.
- Manage and oversee all logistics on the wedding day, including setup, decorations, and coordination of vendors.
- Assist with budgeting and financial management for the wedding, including tracking expenses and ensuring payments are made on time.
- Coordinate catering services, menu selection, and dietary restrictions for the wedding reception.
- Coordinate banquet services, seating arrangements, and table settings for the reception.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work on your feet for up to 12 hours.
- Dedication to being available for the entire day, from morning to late evening, to ensure the success of the wedding you are assigned to.
- Exceptional customer service etiquette and the ability to remain positive under stressful situations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in event planning or the hospitality industry is preferred.
- Strong time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of budgeting principles and experience managing the financial aspects of events.
Note:
- This is a per diem or as-needed position.
- Once hired, the business owner will contact you via email to determine your availability for specific event dates and subsequently assign you to those dates/jobs.
- Please note that working days are typically on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays.
- Given that the business is currently in the growth phase, this position is an excellent fit for individuals seeking opportunities to earn supplemental income.
