What you get to do
- Partner with the Warehouse Manager to establish team goals to meet or exceed shift performance metrics
- Coordinate the department responsibilities in the manager's absence
- Execute daily workload plan and achieve the daily goals
- Champion safety, food safety, and continuous improvement for warehouse operations
- Assist Warehouse Manager in developing and mentoring Leads to be effective team leaders
- Communicate workload plans, goals, and results, as well as upcoming events, safety topics, and special assignments
- Identify problems and find root causes to issues preventing the work from being completed.
- Support the strategy and goals for process improvements
What you need
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalency required; Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, or related field preferred
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt preferred
- Minimum 3 years warehouse leadership experience with Bachelor's Degree, or minimum 5 years relevant warehouse leadership experience
- Warehouse Management System (WMS) knowledge
- Demonstrated ability to develop, coach, and train others with strong interpersonal and motivational skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Demonstrated ability to effectively plan, prioritize, and make sound decisions and have attention to detail
- Ability to participate and implement process improvement projects with effective problem-solving skills and be deadline-oriented
