Assistant Warehouse Manager - 2Nd/3Rd Shift

What you get to do

• Partner with the Warehouse Manager to establish team goals to meet or exceed shift performance metrics
• Coordinate the department responsibilities in the manager's absence
• Execute daily workload plan and achieve the daily goals
• Champion safety, food safety, and continuous improvement for warehouse operations
• Assist Warehouse Manager in developing and mentoring Leads to be effective team leaders
• Communicate workload plans, goals, and results, as well as upcoming events, safety topics, and special assignments
• Identify problems and find root causes to issues preventing the work from being completed.
• Support the strategy and goals for process improvements

What you need

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalency required; Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, or related field preferred
• Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt preferred
• Minimum 3 years warehouse leadership experience with Bachelor's Degree, or minimum 5 years relevant warehouse leadership experience
• Warehouse Management System (WMS) knowledge
• Demonstrated ability to develop, coach, and train others with strong interpersonal and motivational skills
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• Demonstrated ability to effectively plan, prioritize, and make sound decisions and have attention to detail
• Ability to participate and implement process improvement projects with effective problem-solving skills and be deadline-oriented
