Chief Risk Officer and Risk Generalists are responsible for protecting the organization through appropriate risk management, ensuring that risks are captured, understood, clearly communicated and potential sources of loss are minimized in a cost-effective manner. Role holders are unlikely to be specialists in a particular component of Risk Management. This position may act as a first level manager or as the most senior level individual contributor/ subject matter expert and may also work with other support teams such as Vendor Management and/or Technology Services.
As our Assistant Vice President Credit Policy & Risk you will:
- Participate in the development and implementation of strategic and operating plans to enhance business growth
- Design and write mainframe and PC technical programs for statistical analysis of portfolio and/or Credit Risk performance and monitoring
- May review, reengineer and implement risk technology platforms to improve capacity, efficiency and functionality
- Evaluate, implement and monitor internal and external credit scoring models and/or financial forecasting models using both traditional and other advanced predictive technologies. May use segmentation and optimization tools in strategy development
- Implement appropriate controls to ensure that operational and Credit Risk is managed effectively
- Directly influence the operational effectiveness of the functional/functional unit
- Co-ordinate and manage projects; typically working on large, moderately complex projects/assignments
- Be accountable for delivery against prescribed targets, budgets and resourcing and responsible for volume, quality, and timeliness of end results
- Adhere to and actively support established policies and procedures in own team
- Support change initiatives and embed change initiatives within own team
For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $96,900 and $145,300.
The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.
