The Assistant Coach is responsible for promoting the highest type of conduct from each athlete. Main Job Tasks and ResponsibilitiesAssists with coordinating the total program with the Head Coach and other assistant coachesAssist with all aspects of any team-specific fundraisingAssist with encouraging team participation in Athletic Department fundraisingsCommunicate with the Athletic DirectorAssist with organizing and planning all activities and practicesAttend all required Athletic Department, DAC and IHSAA meetingsAssist the Head Coach with documentation in regards to physicals; consent; rosters; awards; eligibility; emergency medical forms; and any other required information in the time frame set forth by the Athletic DepartmentComplete the IHSAA/NFHS coach certification programAssist the Head Coach with communicating with college recruiters and help to arrange appropriate meetingsAssumes duties which the Athletic Director or Principal deem necessary for the improvement of the programBe present at all practices and contests, providing assistance, guidance, and safeguards for each participant.
