A Brief Overview
The Assistant Utilities Analyst is responsible for a diverse set of administrative duties assisting the Department and serves as Assistant to the Utilities Analyst in overseeing the administration and management of all Airport Authority programs regarding purchase and re-sale of utilities at Detroit Metro and Willow run airports, including master metering and rate structure of electric, gas, water, and storm sanitary services.
What you will do
- Assist the Director, Deputy Director, and Unit Managers in administrative tasks. Creates reports, spreadsheets and documents for use by staff.
- Processes delivery reports, vouchers, Purchase Order requisitions, credit card reconciliations, expense reports, etc. using the integrated financial system.
- Updates Organizational Chart and Department Employee Lists for MetroNet and other uses. Maintains MetroNet source documents including Standard Operating Procedures.
- Updates Budget and Open PO Worksheets; tracks Department spend to budget.
- Reviews and Approves Invoices for Payment in coordination with Unit Managers, including preparing and transmitting year-end accrual information to Financial Planning and Analysis.
- Tracks and schedules training for Department staff in coordination with Unit Managers.
- Tracks Key Inventories.
- Tracks and reports on Licenses for all Departmental licensed trades.
- Completes Gas Read Sheets weekly.
- Maintains Department’s fixed asset tracking.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Business or a related field; AND
Four (4) years of progressively responsible duties providing administrative support for a Wayne County Airport Authority Department;
Or - High School Diploma or Certificate of High School Equivalency AND Eight (8) years of experience as described above. An Associate’s Degree may be substituted for up to two (2) years of experience as described above.
- Office Suite Software (Core - Email, Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Presentation) must be proficient in spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel, including ability to create and manipulate computer models. -
- A valid Driver's License and a safe, acceptable driving record.
