Assistant Teaching Professor
Adult Health Nursing

JOB SUMMARY:
The College of Nursing and Public Health at Adelphi University invites qualified candidates to apply for the Assistant Teaching Professor position (Non-Tenure-Track) in Adult Health Nursing to begin in August 2024.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. The primary obligations shall be in teaching across the undergraduate Adult Health courses, pharmacology, health assessment, fundamentals, or medical-surgical. A total of 24 credits/ year is required.
2. Actively participate in College of Nursing and Public Health and University committees.
3. Student advisement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. A master's degree in nursing is required. Doctorate in Nursing preferred (PhD or EdD or DNS or DNP).
2. Licensure as an Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner is strongly preferred, and national board certification in the area of specialty.
3. A NYS RN license or eligible for licensure in New York State.
4. Relevant clinical nursing experience preferred.
5. Experience in simulation technology, online or blended learning, and education. Additional experience is preferred in curriculum development and implementation across all areas.

7. Academic experiences with culturally diverse populations preferred.
8. Interest in developing and implementing curricula related to culturally diverse populations.

SALARY INFORMATION:
In compliance with New York's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $88,000 - $91,000. Adelphi University considers factors such as departmental budgets, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. An annual base salary higher than the range may be warranted in circumstances where a candidate has demonstrable equivalent prior higher education experience at another University.
