MobCraft Beer is the world’s first crowdsourced brewery. Here we turn Ideas into beer. We are looking for someone to assist the current management team in managing the awesome Newly opened (November 2023) taproom in Historic Woodstock, Illinois. Situated in a 160+-year-old newly renovated old Sheriff's house on Woodstock Square, with 2 unique spaces and a large outdoor patio.
MobCraft’s Headquarters is located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in a 14000 sq ft brewery, taproom and pizzeria.. MobCraft has been brewing up a wide range of beers from sour ales to barrel aged stouts since 2013.
Qualifications and Skills
We’re looking to hire a strong supervisor who has experience working in a full-service, high-volume restaurant/bar. A minimum of 1 year as a restaurant/bar manager (or assistant manager) is required. It is preferred that you have experience working in various other restaurant roles as a server, host, bartender, etc. You must have knowledge of craft beer and/or a serious interest in understanding craft beer styles and the industry.
You must be self-motivated, time efficient, and exhibit an aptitude for leading, coaching, and driving excellence. You will spend time in the fast-paced environment of the taproom, as well as doing administrative work, and must be able to manage efficiencies and transition between the two working environments.
Responsibilities and Duties
The Assistant Taproom Manager is a very important role at MobCraft. Our taproom is the first experience many have with MobCraft and ensuring they have a great experience is of utmost importance. MobCraft is host to many special events, private parties, and beer releases. It will be your job to help ensure they are executed flawlessly. You will interact significantly with your team which includes fellow managers, bartenders, tour guides, event coordinator, marketing manager, as well as the COO and CEO of the company.
Tasks include but are not limited to:
Maintain good bartender relations:
- Solve any disputes, address ill feelings between staff, perceptions of inequity
Ensure the taproom is clean and organized:
- Spot cleaning, taproom organization and decluttering
- Equipment cleanup/maintenance
- Ensure beer signs are accurate and POS menu is updated
Manage ordering and inventory:
- Liquor order and inventory of NA items
- Misc other items as needed
Point of sale and Menu display system management:
- Addition of new products
- Removal of old products
- Support for any issues that arise
- Toast POS and Untapped Menu management
Manager on Duty:
- Share in the responsibility of being manager on duty
- Opening and closing tills as needed
- Being the point person for events
- Attention to detail (it's the little things that make a difference)
Train employees on MobCraft knowledge:
- Train employees on beer knowledge
- Participate in weekly manager meetings
- Attend bi-monthly mandatory bartender meetings
The FUN stuff:
- Help create new signature cocktails and beers
- Work with organizations on events both at our location and offsite
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
