Assistant Superintendent

Baldwin & Shell Construction Company is searching for an experienced Assistant Superintendent who will thrive in our Central Arkansas Team.
The Assistant Superintendent supervises all company field employees on the project, coordinates all subcontractor operations with the subcontractor foreman, and in the absence of the Superintendent, will oversee the entire project. The Assistant Superintendent reports directly to the Project Superintendent.
The ideal candidate should always be prepared, organized, detail oriented, responsive, willing to meet each challenge directly, and not afraid to ask for help when needed.
Responsibilities:

• Keep track of project progress.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and quality standards.
• Supervise staff and provide constructive feedback.
• Resolve on-site issues.
• Follow established safety rules and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of commercial construction experience on $500K to $5M projects required.
• Have knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites.
• Be able to read and adhere to labels, safety warnings, and guidelines.
• Have in-depth understanding of construction operations and processes.
• Be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.
• Excel at both verbal and written communication.
• Be available to work overtime including possible weekends.
• Pursuant to the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Act 593, this position is a designated safety-sensitive position according to Baldwin & Shell standards and processes.
