Purpose: To work collaboratively with and in support of the Superintendent of Schools to administer the operations of the District and provide leadership in the development of curriculum, instructional programs, and assessment within the District.
Supervisor: Superintendent of Schools
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience in teaching and school administration totaling at least 10 years
- Central Office experience desirable
- Eligible for NH certification as an Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent of Schools
- Master's Degree or higher
- Other Qualifications as the Board may find appropriate.

Essential Functions:
Leadership and Administration Duties
- Serves as the Title IX Coordinator for the District
- Supervises all federally funded programs within the Monadnock Regional School District, except special education.
- Supervises the effective and efficient implementation of educational and instructional programs in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and the provisions of the district's collective bargaining agreements.
- Manages educator license compliance and process for the District.
- Provides staff leadership in accomplishing educational goals/objectives of schools within the Monadnock Regional School District.
- Responsible for all local, state, and federal compliance reporting/paperwork.
- Supports the Superintendent in all school and district-related matters.
- Coordinates district Mentor Program.
- Assumes the duties of the Superintendent in emergency or exigent situations in the event the Superintendent is unable to act
Oversee District curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional development.
- Works with principals and school departments/committees in organizing and coordinating grade-level, department-level, and school-level meetings to effect horizontal and vertical articulation.
- Oversees the implementation of all state and federal-mandated assessments.
- Oversee and coordinate all district summer programs
- Coordinates the selection of instructional materials with the school committees.
- Establishes, monitors, and reports on the achievements of students in relation to the educational program expectations.
- Assists and advises in budget development as it pertains to curriculum and instruction, technology, personnel, federal programs, and professional development.
- Coordinates and interprets teacher supervision and mentor programs.
- Oversees the development, completion, and submission of Alternative Certification plans
- Coordinates District workshop days and supervises in-service programs related to the instructional program
- Ensures all required employee training is provided or completed in the areas of sexual harassment, state and federal labor laws, effective supervision and management, Title IX, and other related areas
- Serves as SAU #93 staff development committee representative and coordinator of SAU #93 staff development programs.
- Ensures publication and dissemination of information regarding professional development.
- Assists with setting up and maintaining professional development and recertification records for professional staff.
School-community relations
- Promotes and assists in the coordination of effective communication.
- Develops and maintains positive relations with the school community.
- Seeks talent and support from the community to further the educational goals of the district.
- Works cooperatively with colleagues within the district and from other school districts.
- Serves on district committees, participates in district activities, and represents the district as warranted or directed by the Superintendent.
Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools.
