As Assistant Manager, you will grow OST LIQUOR STORE’s brand by delivering best-in-class service and bringing to life a distinctive world of wine, beer, & spirits for our customers. This includes building upon company programs and team member development plans to achieve sales, service, and operational performance goals. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will be on the leadership team creating a sales and service culture within the store to expand our customer base and maximize profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Experience and Brand Awareness:
- Focus on enhancing customer experience and brand awareness through community engagement initiatives.
- Build and nurture relationships within the community to strengthen brand loyalty.
- Team Development and Sales Environment:
- Foster a sales-focused environment by developing and empowering team members.
- Encourage creative thinking and risk-taking to drive sales growth.
- Product Knowledge Training and Implementation:
- Participate in product knowledge training sessions.
- Implement training insights through effective coaching and mentoring of team members.
- Operations Management:
- Manage day-to-day operations according to company procedures.
- Ensure flawless execution of merchandising strategies to maintain brand standards.
- Staffing and Training:
- Oversee staffing needs and ensure team member training meets store requirements.
- Conduct ongoing career development discussions to support team growth.
- Inventory Management and Vendor Relationships:
- Maintain accurate store inventory and oversee product ordering processes.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with vendors to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications:
- 21 years of age or older
- Experience developing team member performance and coaching
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as business requires
- Previous experience in a retail environment, preferably in a leadership role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive sales and achieve results.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and environments.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
