General
- Direct and supervise Team Members engaged in sales, guest experience, stocking, inventory management, etc.
- Do “Whatever it Takes” – willing to perform any work activities needed, such as cleaning and organizing shelves and displays, or selling merchandise when necessary.
- Provide “WOW!” customer service by greeting and assisting customers, and responding to customer inquiries, suggestions, and concerns.
Team Builder
- Help maintain positive, honest relationships with vendors/ suppliers, internal and external customers and all merchandise support staff.
- Help communicate product strategies positively and effectively with e-commerce team, sales team members, merchandisers, and additional stake holders to ensure channel merchandising aligns with business strategies.
- Support the product training, coaching and develop of team members through internal or vendor resources.
Increase Sales
- Manage department gross revenue to meet and/or exceed sales targets.
- Help identify items to maximize marketing strategies to determine lifecycle of each item while providing input in creating exit strategy and inventory aging standards.
- Help meet with sales representatives; attend trade shows and conferences to research new industry trends, processes, and new, exciting products.
- Assist in planning and executing events in your area to draw in customers.
- Assist in sales.
Manage Stock Items
- Manage an adequate supply & physical inventory of all stock items.
- Help develop a strategic merchandise assortment plan for multiple channels, including all retail locations, e-commerce, and marketplace platforms.
- Responsibility of product from the time it arrives until it is gone.
- Execute the strategy for reducing slow moving items, overstock, and discontinued items.
Data Integrity
- Assist in managing and leading updated pricing in the computer system.
- Be aware of low margin items in the computer and reasons for them.
- POS and manufacturer price exceptions and assist with new items and vendors to ensure they are loaded correctly.
Merchandising
- Ensure all items purchased fit in the allocated space.
- Develop a timeline that can be a guide for what needs to be done.
- Keep displays current with trends. Proper products and signage.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Scheduling - Must be willing and able to work the schedule of a retail environment, which includes but is not limited to:
- Saturdays
- Traditional holidays (Independence Day, Memorial Day, Black Friday, etc.)
- Physical presence/assistance for special store events (Ladies Night, Fall Festival, Old Fashioned Christmas, etc.)
Skills:
- General – which includes but is not limited to:
- Organization/coordination of tasks
- Must be detail-oriented – there are many moving parts in the store and warehouse in Hartville, as well as with the Team Members and departments located in the main office
- Must be an excellent communicator with staff and departments across Lehman’s and HRM Enterprises
- Being comfortable with computers and various computer programs which include but are not limited to:
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Spreadsheets – advanced or expert level user is a plus
- Point of Sale (POS) and inventory system
- Personal - which includes but is not limited to:
- Social – being able to initiate and/or maintain a positive rapport with all departments of the Lehman’s business as well as external vendors.
- Fiscal responsibility – working within monetary guidelines for all projects
