Schedule: Full Time, 9:00am – 5:00pm, weekends and after hours possible
Reporting Relationship: Property Manager
Salary/Grade: $17.00 per hour; 74 Non-Exempt

About Ivy Residence:
Salvation Army Ivy Residence I & II is a subsidized independent living facility for older adults in the Wynnefield Heights section of Philadelphia. The building has 127 apartment units.
Description of Position:
Under the direction of the property manager, The Assistant Site Manager provides operational support to Site Manager. The Assistant Site Manager will be responsible for effectively computing, classifying and recording numerical data to keep financial and HUD records complete while assisting with the leasing, marketing and resident relations for the community as requested by the Site Manager. The Assistant Site Manager oversee all facets of the clerical administration of The Salvation Army, Ivy Residence management office. This includes establishing and maintaining all filing system to include: waiting list files, residence files, vendor/contractor files, HUD files, correspondence files, etc. and perform clerical duties to include, but not limited to: answering phones, opening mail, drafting memo, and ordering supplies.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED, and at least two years of experience in prior property management.
- Experience in multifamily and working on affordable housing, senior and special needs housing properties.
- Assisted Housing Manager and/or Certified Occupancy Specialist or equivalent preferred.
- Must be able to keep information in a confidential and secure fashion.
- Must be a self-starter who can work in an environment with multiple changing work priorities.
- Good verbal and writing communication skills.
- Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
- Child Protection Clearances PA Act 153 requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check.
