The ASSISTANT SHOP LEADER is responsible for supporting the Shop Leader in creating a positive environment that maintains and exceeds Floyd's service standards in client service, retention of clients and staff, technical services, and in-shop safety standards. The Assistant Shop Leader must be on the floor taking clients and be proficient in all areas of cutting.
We offer competitive commission (50% TO START) + HOURLY SAFETY NET + TIPS + BONUS + BENEFITS! With Floyd's HIGHER PRICE POINT and HUGE CLIENT BASE, you can expect to make OVER 65,000 in the first year; your motivation will determine your income with our compensation plan. You are in control of your pay!

Responsibilities
- Act as the Leader on Duty (LOD) when Shop Leader is not present.
- Demonstrate high standards of client service and brand image.
- Educate employees and encourage upselling of services and retail.
- Scheduling
- Interviewing, hiring, and orientation process.
- Communication of company updates, including service and sales promotions, education and marketing events, and operational initiatives in monthly shop meetings.
- Month End, Inventory, and Purchase Order management.
- Attend at least one leadership meeting per quarter.
- Have knowledge of state Barbering and Cosmetology rules and regulations. Enforce and hold employees accountable for complying.
- Maintain safety, follow and enforce all policies and procedures of Floyd's 99.
- Other duties as assigned by Shop Leader.
Qualifications
- 1 or more years of employment with Floyd's 99 or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- If technical, individual sales and service metrics must consistently meet or exceed shop averages.
- Active Cosmetology or Barber license if technical Employee.
- Successful completion of Floyd's 99 LIT program.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to build and promote a culture of service and teamwork.
