This role works exclusively with a specific Senior Lockton Producer in an apprentice position to leverage sales activities by initiating, driving new business development and to learn and become proficient as a proxy for the Senior Producer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Manage and organize prospecting activities, tools, social media platforms, related data, and build into strategic plans
• Measure the success of strategic plans
• Research and identify target markets and businesses; Make initial contacts
• Develop and acquire new business revenue in target regions and industry verticals
• Support the development and the success of a Senior Producer in their business plan goals and objectives while learning the role of a Senior Producer
ESSENTIAL EXPECTATIONS
After spending time in an Assistant Sales Associate role with a Senior Producer, you should become proficient in the following areas:
Business Development
• Develop presentation materials and Request for Proposal responses with RFP practice
• Identify and attend target conferences, including pre and post conference activities
• Develop and execute productive and profitable practices and behaviors that generate new business
• Evaluate the effectiveness of business development efforts and make appropriate adjustments to ensure continuous growth in revenue production
• Design and operate, in conjunction with the Senior Producer, a business plan, including market strategies and financial targets
• Develop and execute on business plan
• Participate in accountability groups and sales training with Senior Producer
New Business and Current Clients
• Establish a working knowledge to provide valued assistance during the onboarding, renewal, marketing, and placement process
• Develop and maintain currency and knowledge of property and casualty, employee benefits, retirement, and other insurance products and services through networking and participating in professional development activities
Administration
• Maintain Senior Producer revenue reporting and reconciliation
• Maintain high degree of confidentiality in dealing with client or internal issues
• Comply with and support Lockton procedures and policies
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned
Technical Proficiency
• Develop excellent knowledge of Lockton resources and subject matter expertise and the role they play in benefit program management
• Develop proficiency with analysis tools required to review data in the business development process and work directly in some cases with Lockton subject matter experts (i.e. clinical experts, actuaries, ERISA attorneys, pharmacy experts)
• Develop proficiency with systems: Salesforce, Salesloft, Zoom Info, Sales Navigator, Microsoft Suite of Office products
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent. Bachelors or graduate degree in business-related field preferred
- Professional accomplishments must demonstrate capability and an affinity for revenue generating sales activities, along with leadership, and successfully managing the business development process
- Maintain the personal and professional development foundation of a growth mindset
- Excellent market research, analytical, communication, and presentation skills
- Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools
