Assistant Rural Carrier (ARC)

Below is a general description of the position.

ASSISTANT RURAL CARRIER (ARC) – $20.38/Hr. Medical benefits are not available for this position. ARCs deliver parcels on rural routes on Sundays and most government recognized holidays. You also may be asked to deliver a full rural route on Saturdays. This is a good position if you are looking for a weekend job for some extra money.

In this role you deliver and collect packages along routes in rural areas during weekends and holidays. You also provide a variety of services to customers along your assigned route. You may be asked to use a personal vehicle if a postal vehicle is not provided. This position is ideal for candidates that enjoy staying active and working independently outdoors with occasional customer service interactions.

Skills:
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects
- Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
- Good organizational skills to sort and organize mail efficiently
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate delivery of mail and packages

Note: Prior experience as a courier or in a similar role is preferred, but not required. Training will be provided.
