Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Retail Store Manager to join our team. As the Assistant Retail Store Manager, you will assist the Area Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring a positive customer experience. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for celebrating moments!
Duties:
Hiring / Interviewing
Conduct / assist with in-person interviews of applicants with Area Manager
Employee Management
Serve as day-to-day contact person for all retail employees
Communicate messages between retail employees and Area Manager
Correct action and performance manage employees based on Code of Conduct and training goals
Facilitate quarterly performance reviews with Area Manager
Sales Management
Track sales data of all locations each week / month to ensure goals are hit
Work with Area Manager to record sales data on store whiteboards and create employee initiatives to hit sales goals
Inventory Management
Complete weekly inventory sheet and send to Area Manager to order product
Stock and organize inventory in store when boxes arrive
Pick up inventory items as needed from storage unit
Scheduling
Problem-solve day-of scheduling issues (call-outs, late shifts, etc.)
Reach out to Associates and Shift Leaders to find coverage when needed
Cover retail shifts when needed
Overall Operations Management
Work regular scheduled retail shifts on the weekly schedule
Troubleshoot day-of issues with customers, employees, and facility / machines
Update in-store communication materials for employees
Tasks / notes in the communication book
Help with / complete other tasks delegated by the Area Manager
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
1-2 years of retail experience (leadership preferred)
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of store management best practices
Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems
Ability to analyze market trends and make recommendations for improvement
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
