Assistant Quality Control Manager (F/T)

This position is located in Rockwall, TX.

Lollicup® is currently seeking a Assistant Quality Control Managerto join our new and growing team in Texas. We are looking for someone who is energized and inspired by the possibility of being part of this exciting opportunity to contribute to a startup location in its beginning stages!

DUTIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):

  • Assists the Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to accomplishes quality assurance human resource goal by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees when necessary; communicating QA team job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending corrective actions; adhering to QA policies and procedures
  • Assists the QA Manager to safeguards plant operations and contents by assisting the plant manager in establishing and monitoring security and security procedures & protocols.
  • Assists the QA Manager to achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identifying and resolving problems; completing audits; determining system improvements; implementing change.
  • Assists the QA Manager to meets quality assurance financial objectives by estimating requirements; Analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Assists the QA Manager to develop quality assurance plans by conducting hazard analyses; identifying critical control points and preventive measures; establishing critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures; monitoring inventories.
  • Assists the QA Manager to validates quality processes with establishing product specifications and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification; writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
  • Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits; investigating customer complaints; collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods.
  • Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations.
  • Updates job knowledge by studying trends in and developments in quality management; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Assists the QA Manager to enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Continually improves upon professional & technical knowledge by attending educational workshop; reviews professional publications.
  • Maximizes team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal codes and regulations.
  • Perform related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must have at least 5 years of manufacturing experience in the same position. Demonstrate a positive attitude and strong people skills. Remains calm, and flexible, & maintains confidentiality at all times. Must possess excellent writing & communication skills, be resourceful, pay attention to details, & be highly organized. Able to meet deadlines & multi-task with minimal mistakes/errors. High sense of urgency. Bilingual in Mandarin/English or Spanish/English a plus.

WORK SCHEDULE:

  • Depending on the Production schedule for the beginning of our Operations, 40 hours a week and 8 hours per day is required. *Cross-training in CA may be required.
