Boston University's College of Fine Arts invites applications for a full-time appointment in our School of Theatre. The appointment begins September 2012. The successful candidate will teach in the School's BFA Acting and Theatre Arts programs and advise students on undergraduate- and graduate- level projects and productions. Specifically, the ASTP will teach:
Fall: Acting 1 (multiple sections) and Acting: Shakespeare
Spring: Theatre Ensemble 1, Advanced Acting & Performance, and Classical Techniques in Contemporary Acting
Applicants should possess a strong background in classical acting, knowledge of a range of acting techniques to fulfill classical and modern material, a willingness to work in a collaborative spirit among a team of faculty with varied approaches, and a proven ability to teach both beginning and advanced acting courses. Ideal applicants would also have experience with the Linklater voice technique and significant experience as an actor. Teaching and directing experience is a factor. Salary commensurate with experience.
