Midwestern University’s Graduate Nursing Programsin Glendale, Arizona invites applications for a full-time, 12-month, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The Graduate Nursing Programs include two Master of Science in Nursing (M.S.N) and two Doctor of Nursing Practice (D.N.P.) programs with a concentration in either Adult-Gerontology Primary Care or Nurse Leadership in Global Health and one Post-Master’s Certificate in Adult-Gerontology Primary Care.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Program Director and other Graduate Nursing Program Faculty to develop and teach courses in the D.N.P. and M.S.N. Nurse Leadership programs. The faculty may be asked to teach courses (as applicable and only if within his/her scope) in the M.S.N. Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner program as well. The ideal candidate will possess proven experience with curriculum development and teaching in M.S.N. and D.N.P. programs, mentoring students and faculty, and familiarity with Graduate Nursing Program accreditation requirements. Additional faculty responsibilities include scholarly activities, student advisement, and service.

Qualified applicants must possess an unencumbered, Arizona registered nursing (RN) license or nursing compact/multi-state privileges, a Ph.D. (preferred), DNP, or equivalent post-professional doctorate degree, and at least two years of experience as an academic nurse leader.
