Assistant Privacy Officer-Penn Medicine

Duties: The Assistant Privacy Officer supports the Chief Privacy Officer and Penn Medicine's commitment to protecting the privacy of personal information of patient, research subjects, faculty, staff and students and other members of the Penn community.
The Assistant Privacy Officer participates in and supports ongoing activities related to the development, implementation, maintenance of, and adherence to the organization's policies and procedures covering the privacy of, and access to, patient health information and other sensitive information in compliance with federal and state laws and Penn Medicine's information privacy practices.
The Penn Medicine Privacy Program is carried out by the Office of Audit, Compliance and Privacy. The program focuses on operationalizing the following initiatives: (1) privacy education, training and awareness; (2) risk management initiatives; (3) compliance assessments; and (4) oversight and monitoring.

Qualifications: JD and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
