Assistant Press Operator
Millennium Print Group (MPG), a Subsidiary of The Pokémon Company International (TPCi), is located in Greensboro, NC. The city of Greensboro lies among the rolling hills of North Carolina's Piedmont Triad (Greensboro/High Point/Winston-Salem) , midway between the state's Blue Ridge and Great Smoky Mountains to the west and the Atlantic beaches and Outer Banks to the east.
Over the years, MPG has assembled a dedicated and highly talented staff of print professionals and has built a world-class manufacturing plant that is customer focused, market-competitive, and quality driven. Our unique ability offers a variety of printing and finishing services specializing in trading collectible cards and packaging (folding carton) products.
Since 2020, our Greensboro location has tripled in size to approximately a $75 million manufacturing production plant with a projection of continued organic growth through a strategic approach.
At the present time, MPG is seeking to hire experienced Assistant Press Operatorsto join our growing and profitable company looking to advance their careers. If you possess the required skills and experience as outlined below, please submit your resume for consideration.
Position Responsibilities:
- Primary purpose of this position is to provide support to an Offset Press Operator.
- Responsible for staging in advance components for the scheduled jobs for the press.
- Partners with the Offset Press Operator in setting up the job runs which include ink, water chemistry, feeder and feed board.
- Assists the Offset Press Operator in the production of high-quality products, including make ready, wash-ups and maintenance of the press.
- Responsible for maintaining a running press, setting up the feeder, utilizing a continuous feeder system with minimal knock offs.
- Partners with the Offset Press Operator to meet customer requirements, quality standards, departmental run speeds and productivity efficiencies while maintaining safety and good housekeeping standards.
- Works with other members of the team to complete orders in an accurate and efficient manner that supports operational excellence.
- Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit
Position Qualifications:
- Requires High School diploma or equivalent
- Typically requires a minimum of two years of experience working in an offset press room environment within the print industry
- Mechanically inclined would be highly desirable
