SalaryWe are seeking a part-time Assistant Preschool Teacher to join our loving and fun teamof educating professionals. We are looking for people who are willing to teach, guide, and care for children ages 33 months - 6 years. Make a positive difference in children's lives with this long term career opportunity!
Hours (this is a year round position):
- Monday - Friday between the hours of 7:30 am - 5:15 pm
- Position will average 25-30 hours per week
Primary job duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Plan and present age appropriate activities for children
- Instruct preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth
- Create a fun and safe learning environment
- Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
- Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress
- Maintain the health and safety of all students
- Other related duties
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields
- Familiarity with MN Knowledge Compentency Framework (KCF) and/or ECIPs.
- Passionate about working with children
- Ability to build rapport with children
- Positive and patient demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to be very physically active, including evacuations during emergencies
