Assistant Plant Manager

We need an experienced facility operations expert who can work with our Plant Manager to ensure that the plant is operating within OSHA and FSMA guidelines and standards according to company policy. The Assistant Plant Manager will also be doing the following; maintaining communication channels with other company departments, developing plants for operations to run smoothly, managing production/inventory needs, evaluating employees and giving suggestions for improvement, overseeing work schedules to ensure adequate staff for the facility, and other duties as assigned. Our ideal candidate has experience operating a forklift, operating a front loader, and is well-versed in OSHA training. $80,000 yearly

• Manage and ensure that the plant is operating within OSHA and FSMA guidelines and standards according to company policy
• Maintain communication channels with Logistics, Accounting, Quality Control, Customer Service, and Inventory
• Develop plans that help operations run smoothly
• Manage production and inventory needs
• Evaluate employees and give suggestions for improvement
• Oversee work schedules to ensure the facility is adequately staffed
• Other duties as assigned

• High school diploma, general education degree, or equivalent
• Ability to lift 50 pounds from floor to waist frequently
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds from waist to crown occasionally
• Ability to shovel up to 50 pounds of animal protein and toss it approximately 3 feet
• Ability to frequently climb ladders and walk up several flights of stairs
• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift. Work schedule may be over 8 hours per day
• Ability to push or pull up to 50 pounds
• Ability to kneel, crouch, or bend to complete an assignment
• Ability to work overhead
• Ability to work in hot or cold temperatures
