Position Overview
Join us in the summer of 2024 and help us continue the legacy of fostering creativity, nurturing talent, and celebrating the individual artistic journey at Interlochen. We are seeking organized and adaptable Assistant Percussion Coordinator who embody our core values and are committed to nurturing young artists. As an Assistant Percussion Coordinator, you will work closely with the Percussion Coordinators to provide and manage percussion equipment for daily rehearsals and performances.
What You Get To Do
- Work with Percussion Coordinator to monitor percussion equipment use
- Enforce policies to protect and maintain instruments
- Keep and update the ICA percussion inventory
- Work closely with stage services and ensemble managers
- Help determine equipment and repair needs
- Assist with dance, theatre, and guest artist productions as well
- Distribute percussion equipment for all needs
- Consult with managers and coordinators as needed

Experience and Skills:
What You Need
- Availability 6/3/24 - 8/6/24
- Prepared to live in a dorm or nature cabin setting
- Must be a minimum of 18 years old be a high school graduate or equivalent
- Must be comfortable with the following equipment: Percussion instruments, computer, phones, golf carts, large rental truck, two-way radios
- Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects
- Must be able to walk long distances and be on your feet for up to 8 hours at times
- Experienced percussionist required
- A valid driver's license required and ability to be insured to drive Interlochen vehicles is required
- Must be customer service oriented and an organized individual who can deal with many dynamic personalities
