- Teach graduate level and undergraduate level courses in the general field of electrical and computer engineering. The priorities are given to candidates with expertise in one of the following three areas: Communications and Signal Processing; Electronics Circuits and Systems; Communication Networking that are in the current engineering curriculum.
- Develop and teach advanced courses and laboratories in Communications and Networks.
- Initiate and pursue a vibrant research agenda in communications and networks or related fields that may lead to innovations.
- Develop grant proposals to secure research and educational funding.
- Publish in refereed journals and professional conferences.
- Serve on department, school, and university committees.
- Actively assist in the maintenance of ABET accreditation.
- Advise students.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline by the start date of appointment.
- A record of excellence in research and innovation.
- A record of excellence in scholarly publications.
- A commitment to teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and a dedication to service in both the research community and the university.
- A background and expertise in one of the focus areas: Communications and Signal Processing; Electronics Circuits and Systems; or Communication Networking.
- The successful candidate must have a commitment to student advising and recruitment.
- ABET accreditation experience and knowledge is encouraged.
- Evidence of strong oral and written communication.
- Ability to work effectively and collegially with faculty and staff in the department and the university and students from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
