Assistant Optical Manager

Job Responsibilities

1. Operational Excellence:

• Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the optical retail store, ensuring a seamless customer experience that meets and exceeds expectations.

• Implement and enhance operational processes to optimize efficiency.

2. Team Leadership:

• Provide leadership and support to opticians, sales associates, and administrative staff.

• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.

3. Optical Expertise:

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of optical products, lens options, and the latest industry trends.

• Support the team in providing expert advice to customers for their vision needs.

4. Customer Satisfaction:

• Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.

• Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback with a focus on exceeding expectations.

5. Inventory Management:

• Co-manage inventory levels, orders, and eyewear merchandising to ensure a diverse and appealing product selection.

• Implement strategies to minimize shrinkage and optimize product turnover.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience in a managerial or leadership role within the optical retail industry.

• Strong knowledge of eyewear products, lens options, and industry best practices.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficient in optical equipment usage and basic troubleshooting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field (preferred); optical certification is a plus.
