This position also provides support to the Administrator with the implementation of strategic initiatives and ensures that each program achieves its annual operating plan priorities and targets. This includes ensuring that consumers receive the optimal level of care and that their quality of life is enhanced as a result of choosing Inglis House. The ANHA accomplishes this by building strong trusting relationships throughout the organization and creating a person-centered culture of learning, integrity, service, quality, and teamwork. This position ensures that Inglis House fulfills its legal and moral responsibilities, is constantly in compliance with regulatory requirements and manages operating risks.
The Assistant Nursing Home Administrator is accountable for sustaining the mission through revenue growth and effective financial management and for supporting and maintaining an ongoing quality assurance program based on pertinent CMS quality indicators. Finally. the ANHA is responsible to work in collaboration with the Administrator to ensure compliance, evaluate operational strengths and weaknesses to ensure effective and efficient services and programs.

What You'll Do:?
Partners with the Administrator to plan, develop and direct operations of Inglis House, including all operating policies and procedures in compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
Enforces the regulations relative to the level of health care and safety of residents, and to the protection of their personal and property rights, while maintaining residents’ rights and quality of care and life.
Ensures that all departments reporting to ANHA have developed policies and procedures .
Partners with the Administrator to develop person-centered processes that enable self-direction and creates a positive, purpose filled experience for residents, resident representatives, and family members.
Partners with the Administrator to review and interpret monthly financial statements and provide information for budgeting and reforecasting purposes.
Communicates budget and provides assistance/guidance to Department Director and Leads in maintaining appropriate budget levels; teaches/coaches Department Directors and Leads in meeting financial requirements and providing documentation of budget variances.
Prepares official reports for the Administrator, for state and federal agencies as needed.
Partners with the VP, Human Resources & Administrator & DON to develop a written plan to assure the continuity of resident care and services in the event of a strike, as Inglis House maintains a unionized facility.
Makes routine inspections of the facility to assure that established policies and procedures are being implemented and followed per standard practices and regulatory requirements.
Partners with Administrator & DON to ensure adequate preparation for regulatory compliance surveys.
Identifies problems, deficiencies, and improvement opportunities, and then develops and implements appropriate plans of action to correct deficiencies.
Partners with the Admissions Coordinator to tour and interview families of persons seeking admittance to Inglis House.
Partners with the Director of Engineering regarding facility planning and renovations, and implements change as necessary, in addition to addressing routine physical plant needs as the residents’ home.
Works closely with sales/marketing staff to set strategies for promotion and expansion of the facility’s programs/services within the community. Collects data on outcomes and communicates value proposition to referral sources.
Understands the importance of the dining experience for consumers and works to provide an engaging, satisfying experience for all .
Ensures the facility provides a safe, healthy environment for all consumers, families, visitors and staff.
Measures consumer satisfaction and seeks feedback to improve service on a continual basis.
Provides timely responses to consumers, resident representatives, family members, and staff needs and requests.
Participates in On-call and Manager on Duty schedule as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:?
In addition to the necessary skills and experience to perform the responsibilities outlined above, additional requirements include:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or healthcare related major required, master’s degree preferred. A minimum of five years’ experience in a leadership role in a Person-Centered Long-Term Care organization.
PA Nursing Home Administrators License.
Demonstrated high level leadership qualities and have a strong understanding of the changing long-term care marketplace/environment/regulations.
Demonstrated professional level skills to positively motivate, overcome barriers and act as champion/change agent.
Working knowledge of Long-Term Care Federal and State regulations, and an understanding of budgets and financial reports.
Full understanding the DOH requirements and quality metrics for long term care.
Serves as an employee champion by developing employee and organizational relationships, and understands, values, and promotes diversity.
Possesses excellent customer service skills.
Demonstrates the ability to understand, interpret and uphold Inglis policies and procedures, protocols, mission, vision, and philosophy.
Demonstrates ability to interface and communicate effectively with leaders and all other positions in the organization.
Excellent written and presentation skills.
Pay range for this role:? $100,000-110,000 annually
