Assistant Nurse Manager of the Emergency Department
This is a full-time position that will work on 12-hour shifts on Nights.
Our client is a high volume, state of the art ED supporting the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys with compassionate and culturally appropriate care. The Emergency Department (ED) is a Level II Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, STEMI Receiving Center, Paramedic Base Station, and Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics (EDAP). We are team-oriented and maintain a collaborative environment. As a Magnet Designated Hospital, our nurses are highly engaged and involved in Shared Governance driving practice changes. Our nurses are supported to advance their degrees and obtain specialty certifications to advance Emergency nursing skills.
The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is responsible for assisting the Nurse Manager/director in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating services of the unit. In collaboration with the Nurse Manager/director, assumes responsibility for the management and staffing of the unit. The ANM manages and coordinates the unit, directs and supervises functions and activities, interprets policies/procedures/protocols, standards, and regulations as appropriate. The scope of responsibility spans all aspects of nursing care. The ANM maintains clinical competence and certifications to assist the unit when required.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree Nursing or Bachelor's Degree completed within 3 years of accepting position.
Preferred Qualifications:
3 years Recent clinical experience in an acute care hospital.
Charge Nurse/Relief Charge Nurse experience.
Leadership experience.
Shared Governance experience.
