Responsibilities Include:
- Provide operational and administrative support to the Nurse Manager.
- Effectively analyze complex problems with the ability to communicate to staff.
- Promote and ensure high-quality patient care.
- As a shared responsibility with the Nurse Manager, evaluate, revise, and implement policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
- Provide direct oversight for nurse staffing and patient care on the Inpatient unit to maintain patient safety and quality of care.
- Collaborate and assist the Nurse Manager in developing, monitoring, and analyze department budgets.
- Provides clinical expertise for nursing staff and may be back-up for nursing supervisor shifts in emergency situations.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
- Active Registered Nurse License in the State of Minnesota.
- Maintain active BLS, ACLS/CALS, or; an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential responsibilities and duties of the job as listed above.
- Experience in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
- Three years clinic experience in an acute care setting, or; an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential
