Form of workAstera Health is seeking a Registered Nurse Assistant Nurse Manager. The Assistant Nurse Manager will work closely with the Nurse Manager to oversee the daily operations for the administration and effective delivery of nursing services. The Assistant Nurse Manager will assist the Nurse Manager to provide direct oversight for nurse staffing and patient care on the unit to include the Inpatient unit, ICU, OB, and the Infusion Services Center. The successful candidate will be able to build strong relationships with patients, families, and staff. Effective communication skills are essential, as the Assistant Nurse Manager will be responsible for communicating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. A strong work ethic and motivation are necessary to ensure that the nursing staff is providing the highest quality of care to patients. The Assistant Nurse Manager must be empathetic and able to provide emotional support to patients and families.

Responsibilities Include:
- Provide operational and administrative support to the Nurse Manager.
- Effectively analyze complex problems with the ability to communicate to staff.
- Promote and ensure high-quality patient care.
- As a shared responsibility with the Nurse Manager, evaluate, revise, and implement policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
- Provide direct oversight for nurse staffing and patient care on the Inpatient unit to maintain patient safety and quality of care.
- Collaborate and assist the Nurse Manager in developing, monitoring, and analyze department budgets.
- Provides clinical expertise for nursing staff and may be back-up for nursing supervisor shifts in emergency situations.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
- Active Registered Nurse License in the State of Minnesota.
- Maintain active BLS, ACLS/CALS, or; an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential responsibilities and duties of the job as listed above.
- Experience in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
- Three years clinic experience in an acute care setting, or; an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential
