Salary Range: $60,000+ annually depening on experience and training.
Position: In person, full time. 40hrs hours per week Flexibility is required to meet the demands of the role. Some weekends required.
Company History - House of Marbles was founded in England in 1973, and we have been a wholesale supplier to customers worldwide with our own range of toys, games, and gifts since then.
House of Marbles operates in the Toy, Game, Glass and Giftware markets in the UK and internationally, with offices in the USA, France and Australia. We have a retail store and restaurant in Devon, England plus Teign Valley Glass Ltd, which manufactures artistic glassware.
Job Description - We seek a qualified sales professional with 2-5 years experience in sales who can carry forward our positive momentum. The ideal candidate would have exceptional communication skills, a keen sense of business and the ability to motivate our sales team. The role demands accute attention to detail and the ability to multitask responsibilities.
Role and Responsibilities - You will be working under the National Sales Manager and reporting directly to the President. Main responsibilities of this position include:
Manage outside rep groups;
1. Monitor group sales performance
2. Hire, monitor and fire groups
3. Support shows/showrooms
a. In-person sales at shows
b. Provide showroom samples – update new products and manage discontinued lists
c. Monitor displays at showrooms
4. Update and maintain product files for rep ordering apps
5. Present at annual sales meetings
Manage individual sales reps;
1. Field customer support calls, emails and texts from reps
2. Supply reps with materials – catalogs, samples, images
3. Compile and maintain best-seller lists
4. Monitor individual reps' performance
5. Create training programs and tools to help reps sell better
Support in House accounts;
1. Identify and call on individual house accounts on a regular basis
2. Manage customer service for house accounts
Support Key accounts;
1. Reach out to key accounts with targeted strategies
2. Present the line to key buyers at trade shows
3. Negotiate terms and fill out required paperwork
4. Communicate with UK buying department to ensure timely delivery
Work trade shows – temporary and permanent showrooms
1. Plan show layouts, organize samples
2. Maintain the annual show schedule and staffing
3. Organize trade show logistics – pack materials, arrange freight, furnishings, etc.
4. Set up, staff, and break down temporary trade shows – start to finish – 2-5 per year
5. Staff permanent showrooms during trade shows – 5-8 per year
6. Follow-up show sales leads
Create and facilitate marketing efforts
1. Create specials for shows, reps and house accounts
2. Work with UK sales team to coordinate online promotions
3. Use social media to promote HOM
Product range development
1. Share product ideas and feedback with UK sales team
2. Monitor prices and margins to ensure profitability
3. Set trade prices biannually w/ UK Office
