Our Montessori school has been proudly serving our community for many years. With trained, dedicated educators (some with decades of experience), we provide an authentic Montessori experience in an early education setting. With mixed-age classrooms and carefully curated Montessori materials, we embrace the authentic Montessori Method, as we guide young learners toward the future, so they become innovative thinkers, good citizens, and able leaders.
Leading a classroom takes a special kind of skill. Montessori Certified Guides have been uniquely trained to deliver an authentic Montessori experience, encouraging children to be innovative and independent.
As an Assistant Montessori Guide you are an expert in:
- Sharing An Authentic Montessori Experience: Implement the Montessori curriculum and facilitate engaging interactive learning experiences.
- Policies and Procedures: Follow all school, and company standards to ensure the daily care and learning of every child.
- Teaching and Communicating: Develop your ability to accurately observe, assess, and plan for children, as well as effectively communicate with families.
- Gaining Knowledge: Complete ongoing professional development on Montessori pedagogy and early childhood development topics.
We want joyful, dependable, passionate individuals who are at least 18 and have:
- Credentials as a Montessori educator from an accredited training program (MACTE preferred).
- Experience in a licensed child care center, Montessori school or related field, and previous lead teacher experience preferred.
- Met state requirements for education; additional school requirements may apply.

Our goal is to educate children 18 months to 12 years old in a non-sectarian Montessori program which strives to encourage a love of learning coupled with a shared concern for others and for the world around us. We hope to nurture critical thinking, collaboration, adaptability, initiative, and imagination. As actively engaged, informed, and responsible citizens of the world, we are confident that each student can truly do an important part to promote peace and equality wherever their life’s path leads.

Academy Montessori Internationale is an explorer’s paradise in a suburb of Kansas City, providing children with prepared classroom environments and a natural playground. It is located on a rolling, wooded ten-acre tract with a pond and small creek, giving opportunities for observing and exploring the wonders of nature on a daily basis.
Academy Montessori has served a richly diverse student body in the Kansas City area for more than forty years, proudly offering nurturing, non-competitive, multi-age classrooms as envisioned by Dr. Montessori.
