The Spirit of the Position:

The Assistant Manager oversees the operations of a location(s), under the direction of the Operations Manager to ensure 24/7 professional parking management. As a company devoted to promoting an employee-focused servant leadership culture, the Facility Manager will support the programs and initiatives originating from our home office and help to support the individual needs of their operational teams throughout their assigned location(s).

Essential Functions:

  • Able to dependably work a flexible schedule (including nights, weekends and holidays) to meet operational demands.
  • Provide customers and clients with a high level of professional customer service, via phone, email, web, and in person. Works well with others and is a strong team player.
  • Understand, implement, and deliver all requirements that are outlined within the contractual agreement between LAZ Parking and our clients.
  • Responsible for financial management of assigned locations ensuring adherence to budget and revenue enhancements.
  • Ensuring that increased revenue, managed expenses, and customer satisfaction is maximized by maintaining the highest level of service thresholds and initiatives that are aligned with the expectations of our various clients.
  • Dependably deliver daily, weekly, monthly, and annual financial and operational reports as requested.
  • Assist with the monitoring, review, and analysis of the market rate structures.
  • Oversee the transition of newly assigned locations from acceptance of client contract through opening of location ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Responsible for maintaining strong rapport with client relationships and provide excellent service to ensure business retention.
  • Maintain continual contact with management and attend all required client meetings and events; prepare and submit any reports required by the management and fulfill any special requests made by the client.
  • Proactively and professionally respond to all claims and customer complaints using The LAZ Way as a compass.
  • Assist the region with the operations preparation for potential new locations including rate surveys, ticket pulls, etc.
  • Ensure locations are fully stocked with operational needs by ordering and expensing supplies when needed.
  • Responsible for the safety, security and cleanliness of all operational areas.
  • Managing, planning, scheduling, training, and directing the activities of team leaders and employees
  • Participate in labor contract management if applicable to assigned location(s).
  • Organize and manage the oversight of event operations within LAZ Parking.
  • Lead, direct, coach and develop team of employees to accomplish annual and periodic goals/initiatives, while embodying and using LAZ Parking’s culture as a guideline.
  • Identifying high potential employees to support the organization’s continued growth.
  • Organize and narrate parking management skills for team leaders and employees.
  • Responsible for payroll processing; ensuring sign-off on hours in a timely manner; collaborate with the local payroll department to ensure pay data is completed properly; work with Human Resources Manager to ensure proper wage and hour compliance.
  • Manage TimeForce approvals, PCF corrections, scheduling, and deliver documentation to Payroll by required deadline.
  • When requested, actively engage in the recruitment process to ensure top talent is selected and foster an environment that retains top talent.
  • Implement and complete other projects, programs, and initiatives that may arise from the operation of assigned location(s).
  • Additional related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

  • 1+ year in Management role.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Paris, WebDCR, TimeForce, and online scheduling platforms.
  • Parking management experience is preferred but not required.

Other:

  • Clean driving record.
  • Reliable transportation to drive to and from locations.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to frequently sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and otherwise move objects of at least 75 pounds in weight.
  • Ability to work in the elements – heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
  • Ability to occasionally stand and/or walk for moderate periods of time.
  • Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, squat, and lift objects throughout the day.
  • Ability to apply pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
  • Ability to perform functions that require repetitive motions using hands, wrists, arms, knees, and/or legs.
  • Ability to express or exchange information, instructions, ideas, etc. by means of the spoken word.
  • Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make the discriminations in sound.
