Job Description
Hino Motors Manufacturing is an OEM that assembles trucks in West Virginia, automotive components in Arkansas, and operates a parts distribution center in California.
We are currently seeking an Assistant Manager- Production (Paint) for our Marion, AR plant. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a production schedule and information within the paint department. The primary responsibility includes overseeing the evening shift of paint production (masking/demasking) ensuring Production goals are met along with keeping Safety and Quality goals as main priority.
Job Duties:
- Maintaining a safe work area and ensuring Team Members adhere to safe work practices.
- Lead Team Members in the department to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain and analyze metrics to assess performance and implement improvements.
- Work closely with team members to ensure the smooth flow of information and maintain a cooperative and positive work environment.
- Analyze problems, determine approach, compiles, and analyzes data, and prepares reports/recommendations.
- Identify any issues in trends and bring them to the attention of management.
- Perform administrative tasks and work on special projects as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirement:
- 5+ years of working experience in a Supervisory/Leadership role in automotive manufacturing environment.
- 5-10 years’ experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in a business or operations management related field or equivalent amount of work experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively delegate, manage and prioritize multiple assignments, to meet deadlines/targets.
- Experience working with SQL-based databases preferred.
- Intermediate to Advanced skill level with MS Excel preferred.
- Ability to demonstrate a high level of confidence, poise, and efficient time management skills when multi-tasking in a fast-paced work environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities to interact effectively with customers and team.
- Knowledge of office practices and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of information for all Hino and Customer parts and processes.
