This role is categorized as HYBRID . This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren 7000 Building three times per week, at minimum.

This job is not eligible for relocation benefits.  Any relocation costs would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.

Join us as the Assistant Manager, Loyalty Experiential Strategy & Execution who will report to the Manager, Loyalty Digital, Partnerships & Experiential and will be responsible for developing, leading and executing a coordinated Experiential Strategy for GM's Loyalty members (My GM Rewards and My GM Rewards Card).  

You will be responsible for curating, delivering and scaling a suite of member experiences by identifying, securing and leveraging internal / external partner assets that will serve as a foundational program benefit.  Additionally, this position will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that deliver exposure and awareness of the Loyalty program and its benefits beyond individual events, including but not limited to social media amplification and internal employee engagement. The individual will work closely with various members of the Loyalty Leadership team as well as collaborating across GM to grow & deliver success for the program.  
 
The role embodies GM’s Behaviors and is motivated by the drive to ensure GM establishes a winning strategy that to delivers a best-in-industry Loyalty program that delivers value for customers, GM and dealer network.  Ability to lead change, collaborate and influence across all functions, effectively prioritize and thrive in an ambiguous / fast-paced environment is a must. The candidate will have to consistently deliver the value story of the Loyalty program to various internal stakeholders in order toto solicit buy in and support for the program.

Lead & execute experiential strategies and plan including management of agency partners and brands/regional/external partners:

  • Lead campaign strategies, execute to budget, and drive overall member experience
  • Lead and manage on-site event activities, including internal / external logistics, run of shows, member activities, etc., to ensure successful events / activations
  • Lead AOR short and long term strategy work to scale a tiered program experiences for Loyalty Member base with a focus on creating differentiated experiences / benefits for Platinum members
  • Manage relationship with experiential brand leads to secure usage of brand assets for Loyalty experiences
  • Collaborate with external partners (e.g., bank partner, network partner) to leverage assets and funds to deliver unique member experiences
  • Manage multiple agencies and internal stakeholders to deliver inclusive and cohesive campaign strategies / on-site activations
  • Lead experiential portfolio expansion strategies and relentlessly pursue new activations / opportunities to deliver unique program benefits
  • Develop strategies for event amplification and exposure, including cross-functional social media, partner amplification and internal employee engagement

Additional Description

Qualifications / requirements:

  • Bachelors degree
  • 5+ years of marketing and/or automotive experience
  • Experiential / event management experience a plus
  • Experience with advertising campaign management 
  • Experience with digital advertising ecosystem including CRM, social, website, paid media
  • Requires travel as necessary
  • Understanding of loyalty program best-practices and best-in-class strategies
  • High EQ with excellent relationship management & influence skills, with attention to detail
  • A proven & successful track record in navigating cross functional teams to achieve desired results in a highly-matrixed organization
  • A demonstrated proficiency in support & Execution of strategic plans, including roadmap prioritization & management, creation & tracking of measurements plans, executive / senior leadership report outs, etc.  
  • Comfortable executing complex projects and assignments with a high degree of autonomy, confidentiality, and accountability for results 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision 
  • Operate with high level of time management and prioritization skills 
  • Ability to organize and plan effectively, in ambiguous and continually changing environment 
  • Highly developed oral and written communications skills, with focus on succinct, simple messaging
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with, motivate and elicit work from others 
  • Must be energetic, hardworking, enthusiastic; willing to offer opinions and judgments and constructively challenge leadership 
  • Must be comfortable working with and at times, managing Senior Leaders and Executives within the organization 
  • Demonstrated ability to work in an action oriented, decision-making environment and be decisive 
  • Must plan and be able to anticipate risks associated with projects/tasks and have a plan to handle if encountered in highly visible live environment.
