Reports directly to the resort owner/general manager. 

Assistant Managers often exemplify a few characteristics; they are energetic, enthusiastic, and have the ability to lead people. They must love working with people, not just dogs - managing the people (both clients and employees) will be far greater a challenge than anything to do with the dogs. AMs will manage and assist in the day-to-day operations, providing exceptional customer experience, managing
employees in all aspects of the resort. They need to have the ability to fill in wherever they are needed at any given time, Previous experience is preferred; however, it is not required. Weekend and holiday hours are required.

 

Compensation:

  • Starting pay for AM will depend upon past experience, references, etc but will likely fall within 45k-50k salary with 3 weeks PTO per year, and free dog care


Essential Job Functions:
• Carries out and attains the mission and goals of K9 Resorts.
• Assure all guests are cared for in compliance with the company goals.
• Maintain a strong resorts culture and lead by following Company Values and Mission.
• Be familiar with budgets, revenue, and controllable expenses.
• Responsible for maintaining a healthy and safe work environment.
• Empower employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals. Delegate
responsibility and expect accountability and feedback.
• Monitor/measure customer satisfaction.
• Handles all customer complaints.
• Follows all operational procedures as outlined in the K9 Resorts Operations Manual.
• Responsible for maintaining the proper level of staff according to the K9 Resorts
scheduling standards.
• Responsible for interviewing and hiring staff for the resort.
• Responsible for the certification process of all employees.
• Supervises all Front-End Staff and Back-End Staff.
• Knowledgeable of all basic functions of the point-of-sale system.
• Accepts payment from customers.
• Answers telephone inquiries.
• Responsible for opening the building in the morning and the security of the building at
closing.
• Provides tours of the building to potential customers.
• Develops pet feeding/medication schedules. Feeds/medicates dogs when necessary.
• Maintains employee schedules.
• Responsible for maintaining supply inventory levels.
• Oversees all cleaning and disinfecting procedures.
• Has the ability to complete any job requirement of any staff member at any time.
• Must complete K9 Resorts Certification Program for Supervisor, CSR and PCT.
• Customer service oriented.
• Must work any shift outside of their schedule upon request of the DM.
• Weekend and Holiday hours are required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Some college preferred.
• Managerial experience highly recommended.
• Computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Windows.
• Better than average written and spoken communication skills.
• Knowledge and experience in business, supervision, and management.
• General knowledge of various employment laws, practices, and employee relations.
• Excellent communication skills.

problem solve.
