Job Summary:
The Assistant Manager - Facilities 2nd Shift is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the repair and maintenance tasks in hotel guest rooms and public areas. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and general maintenance. The Assistant Manager must demonstrate leadership by effectively planning, executing, and supervising assignments for team members.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in facilities management is a plus
- Proven experience in maintenance, repair, and facilities management
- Knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and general maintenance practices
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Leadership capabilities to effectively delegate tasks and supervise team members
- Ability to work the 2nd Shift schedule
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee maintenance and repair activities for hotel guest rooms and public areas
- Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and in a timely manner
- Supervise maintenance staff and assign responsibilities accordingly
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment necessary for maintenance work
- Implement and adhere to safety protocols and procedures
- Communicate effectively with team members, management, and external vendors
- Provide training and guidance to team members as needed
- Assist Manager with budgeting and financial management related to maintenance operations
