POSITION SUMMARY:
Fosterthe development of business opportunities that result in increased brandrecognition for Orlando International Airport and the airlines serving theairport in order to grow Orlando-originating traffic. Identify, establish and maintain ongoing relationships with the local business community, travel agencies and corporate travel departments of companies in the region to build awareness of MCO's airlines, routes and support future air service development efforts
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor'sdegree in Business, Marketing, Aviation Management, or related field and five(5) years experience in marketing, economic development and/or airline and/ortravel sales; or an equivalent combination of education, training andexperience. Airport/airline/travel industry marketing related experiencepreferred.
- Knowledge identifying pipelines for new business growth, including new markets, new distribution channels, or new products
- In-depth knowledge of the aviation/tourism and/or corporate travel industry
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain professionalism and diplomacy at all times
- Social awareness and cultural sensitivity are necessary to build professional relationships
- Proficiency to adjust to new situations and change your actions as needed.
- High level planning and organizational skills
- Strong analytical, presentation and problem solving skills
- Advanced working knowledge of and experience with software including MS Office and Salesforce (CRM) products
- Ability to prioritize, work independently, manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
- Able to communicate clearly in English; ability to be fluent multi-language skills desired (preferably Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese or Chinese)
- Ability to travel domestic and/or international at least 10% of the time
- Willing and able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate business operations
