Job Description:

As the Assistant Machine Operatoryou will assist and follow the lead of the Machine Operator in performing tubing operations.Youll assist with the setup and operation of machines in a safe and efficient manner, maintaining expected standards of production quality and waste.Big opportunities to advance exist for employees who learn their machines inside and out and can learn to operate them safely and independently.

Location:Beaverton

Hours:M-TH 7 AM - 5:30 PM or M-TH 5:20 PM - 3:50 AM

Starting Rate:$18-$19.50/hr ($1 per hour differential for working swing shift) This is the assistant pay range - if you can master the assistant role you can advance to Operator and earn several dollars more per hour.

Responsibilities:

• Pre-set for next job utilizing pre-set checklist
• Preps and loads materials for continuous operation of machine
• Properly label partial rolls
• Verify bag quality throughout production run
• Performs daily maintenance, lubrication, and upkeep of machines as directed by Operator.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to read and comprehend manuals and instructions
• Effective communication
• Math - Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
• Must pass a mechanical aptitude test
• Dependable and punctual
• Eye/Ear protection and closed toe shoes.
