Job Description

Assists the superintendent in all aspects of crew management and must be qualified to supervise and manage the crew in the absence of the Crew Superintendent. Also assists in a variety of duties for 3 squad leaders, and 15 crew members which include supervising, leadership, planning, organizing, coordination and administrative duties as assigned, and directing of field projects and wildfire assignments. Applies appropriate agency incident business and resource management objectives, practices, and policies to meet objectives.

Requirements
A valid Oregon Drivers License is required. Must be able to pass a medical exam and arduous fitness test. must have a minimum of 4 years of fire supervision experience and is Crew Boss qualified by National Wildlife Fire Qualifications Standards for a Grade Level 8. Must have a minimum 6 years fire experience and a minimum qualification as Strike Team Leader/TFLD/ICT4 qualified by National standards for Grade Level 7. Has a telephone or a reliable message phone. Be available and on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during the fire season. Travel, transportation and relocation expenses associated with reporting for duty in this position will be the responsibility of the selected employee.
