Pittsburg State University seeks a faculty member in School Psychology committed to high-quality teaching for a full-time Assistant Instructional Professor in the Department ofPsychology and Counseling (http://www.pittstate.edu/college/education/psychology/index.dot).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Specific courses will depend on areas of expertise and/or experience but may include: Intellectual Assessment, Ethical and Legal Issues in School Psychology, Assessment and Intervention with Early Childhood Disabilities, and/or other classes as assigned.
- Scholarly activity in the area of School Psychology is desirable and service to the department, college, and university are required.
- The candidate filling the position will be part of the School Psychology program which offers an Ed.S. Degree.
- Undergraduate and Graduate teaching, advising, and supervision.
Education and Experience
Required Education and Experience - Time of Hire:
- Ed.D or Ph.D. in Counselor Psychology, applicants who are ABD will be considered.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- College teaching experience
- Demonstrated commitment to School Psychology through research and/or practice in the public schools
