Department: Revenue Cycle- Schedule: Full-time: 36 hours/week / Monday - Friday 8AM-4:30PM, 1 day off every other week
- Facility: Ascension Medical Group
- Location: St. Elizabeth Hospital Campus, Appleton WI
Perform clerical and/or technical duties associated with medical records processes and procedures.
- Receive, analyze, process and file Health Information for completeness, timeliness and accuracy.
- Audit accuracy of electronic and manual entry, and facilitate resolution of any discrepancies.
- Maintain smooth operational flow by assisting with general clerical duties.
- Process requests for release of information according to regulatory requirements.
- Notifiy physicians and appropriate parties of requests when applicable.
- Perform clerical/technical duties associated coding processes and procedures.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
0-2 years Health Information experience preferred.

2. Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
3. Eye and hand coordination is necessary
4. Excellent communication and customer service skills
5. Works calmly and effectively when challenged
6. Ability to communicate clearly and tactfully in order to interact appropriately with co-workers, physicians, patients and other facility personnel
7. Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment with time constraints
8. Ability to prioritize workload and maximize time utilization
9. Must have high attention to detail and accuracy
10. Reflects initiative and teamwork. Work harmoniously with co-workers, supervisory, clinicians and others
11. Familiar with references such as medical staff bylaws and Wisconsin Legal Resource Manual
