We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Golf Pro Shop Merchandiser to join our esteemed Private Golf and Country Club facility; The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing the overall customer experience while maintaining the overall presentation of the Golf Shop. The ideal candidate should possess 1-3 years of relevant experience in retail, preferably within a golf or sports setting but not required.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Golf Pro Shop Merchandiser to join our esteemed Private Golf and Country Club facility; The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing the overall customer experience while maintaining the overall presentation of the Golf Shop. The ideal candidate should possess 1-3 years of relevant experience in retail, preferably within a golf or sports setting but not required.
Responsibilities:
- The Merchandiser Assistant is responsible for assisting the Buyer/Merchandise Manager in maintaining all aspects of the Golf Shop retail merchandise operations.
- Establish a rapport with the Membership by providing excellent customer service, assisting with all their retail needs.
- Maintain the stockroom’s organization and efficiency.
- Ensure the shop is consistently neat and clean.
- Assist in creating visually appealing and organized displays.
- Assist in receiving, pricing and managing inventory levels through our inventory management system.
- Utilize the POS system for completing transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and place orders as needed to ensure product availability.
- Assist in Monthly Inventory Counts.
- Place, monitor and follow through on special orders.
- Assist in retail promotion using our website, member e-mail and social media.
Qualifications:
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a retail setting with a focus on golf merchandise preferred.
- Knowledge of golf equipment, apparel, and accessories.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in point-of- sale systems and computer skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work well under pressure and think creatively.
- Ability to work at least one weekend day.
