We are looking for an experienced and passionate Restaurant Assistant General Manager to join our team. As an Assistant General Manager your primary responsibility is to the guest, ensuring that every guest has a wonderful experience and ensure all daily activities run smoothly and efficiently. To be successful as an Assistant General Manager you should have excellent communication skills and a passion for guest service.
You should be someone who leads by example, both in how you interact with your team as well as how to support our guests. You will also assume a variety of responsibilities and duties such as recruiting & hiring restaurant staff, training, overseeing food quality, creating, and executing restaurant strategies, as well as greeting & serving guests, and supporting service.
Ultimately, you will help minimize operating costs, boost our employee retention, and deliver a positive dining experience for our guests.
Job Duties:
Manage/oversee entire restaurant operation.
Assist General Manager and management team.
Deliver exceptional guest services and ensure guest satisfaction.
Update existing menus and prices.
Work with vendors.
Assist with ordering and managing invoices.
Respond efficiently to guest questions and complaints.
Organize/supervise shifts.
Manage/lead staff.
Hire/Terminate/Document Paperwork for employees.
Manage food costs and operating costs, forecast requirements, and maintain inventory.
Manage supplies.
Control costs and minimize waste.
Create positive working environment.
Implement innovative strategies to improve productivity, sales, and food quality.
Requirements:
Ideally, 5+ yrs. experience as Manager or similar
Ideally, 5+ yrs. in customer service management.
Extensive food/wine knowledge.
Computer literacy and familiarity with restaurant management software.
Experience in event planning.
Strong leadership, motivational, and people skills.
Good financial management skills.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Team player.
Good time-management skills.
Great interpersonal and communication skills.
Available to work within operating hours, including weekends and holidays.
