Carnegie Library Special Events is our private event space seating up to 175 guests and is in the upper level of Jess.
Our butcher shop provides locally sourced meats while our commissary kitchen produces house-made products for each of our restaurant locations.
With 4 different concepts in 3 locations, there is something for every personality!
Multi-unit & multi-concept management experience is a plus.
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Assistant General Manager to join our team.
As a restaurant AGM, you will be responsible for all aspects of the Front of House. You will help assist the General Managers in the day-to-day operations. You understand all areas of Front of House and have a passion to assist your team.
To be successful as a restaurant AGM you should have excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service. You should be someone who leads by example, both in how you interact with your FOH team, the BOH team, and the guests.
You will also assume a variety of responsibilities and duties such as assisting in recruiting and hiring restaurant staff, training, overseeing food quality, creating, and executing restaurant marketing strategies, as well as greeting and serving restaurant guests and supporting service. JOB DUTIES:
- Manage and oversee restaurant operation
- Use of R365 for day-to-day operations
- Deliver exceptional guest services
- Ensuring guest satisfaction
- Assist in planning new and updating existing menus
- Plan and develop the overall restaurant marketing strategy
- Manage the restaurants tech stack.
- Respond efficiently to customer questions and complaints
- Organize and supervise shifts
- Manage and lead staff
- Develop hourly and salary staff
- Hire new employees
- Manage food cost, forecast requirements, and maintain inventory
- Manage restaurant supplies including small wares
- Control costs and minimize waste
- Create and nurture a positive working environment
- Respond to all incoming requests via email or social media.
- Ideally, 2+ years of experience as a Restaurant supervisor
- Food and wine knowledge
- Computer literacy
- Familiarity with restaurant management software (R365, Aloha, Triple seat)
- Experience in event planning
