You will be working at a non-profit art gallery in a retail \ office environment at the gallery location and occasionally at offsite events. Position Summary:
Perform a wide range of clerical, secretarial, and general office duties as well as customer service, retail sales, and hospitality functions. Interact with the general public. Respond to inquiries displaying a comprehensive knowledge of the gallery’s activities, policies, and programs. Correspond with artists or customers via email and phone, answering any questions they may have. Perform general word processing duties utilizing Microsoft Office and Apple applications. Modify and/or create databases and spreadsheets. Assist with grant applications.
Qualifications:
Required Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Experience:
3 years of office experience. Experience providing a high level of customer service.
Preferred Experience:
3 years of office experience and/or 3 years of retail experience. Art background.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proficiency with intermediate to advanced word processing, spreadsheet, email and database applications. Good proofreading and writing skills. Installing artwork is required, so knowledge of how to operate a hammer, a step stool, and a paint brush is a must.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 6 per week
