Job description
We are seeking individuals who possess the following attributes:
¨ Capable and willing to work when business demands are greatest.
¨ Maintain standards of guest services and a consistent guest experience.
¨ To ensure that the Front Desk operates at peak efficiency to give a maximum utilization of guestroom availability in attaining high occupancies and with minimum overbooking. To ensure the accuracy of the Front Desk and PBX records with direct and open lines of communications to other departments within the hotel.
¨ Through proper Front Office rooms merchandising procedures, to ensure management of the integrity of the rate structure, Front Office salesmanship.
¨ To ensure all Front Office systems and controls procedures comply with corporate policy and procedures.
¨ To ensure all Front Office payroll costs and other expenses are properly monitored and controlled in accordance with budgets and monthly updates.
¨ To maintain open and clear communication with all internal departments.
¨ To ensure accurate scheduling based upon occupancy forecasting and respond appropriately to inflation’s in business.
¨ In conjunction with night audit staff, ensure timely and accurate reporting of daily operating results and statistical information as related to revenue and expenses.
¨ Maintain a thorough knowledge of the facility and up to date knowledge of services.
¨ Have thorough knowledge and property specific marketing programs and operations.
Hotel Specific Essential Functions:
PBX
¨ Wake up calls maintained accurately, missed wake up calls tracked and problems addressed immediately
¨ Personalized VIP (Level 1) calls
¨ Message / fax handling
¨ Calls answered with-in three rings
¨ Calls handled without forwarding to the front desk
Front Desk
¨ Express check in procedures
¨ Express check out procedures / increasing %
¨ Solicit feedback from guests to improve customer services
¨ ID taken on all Qualified rates
¨ Pre-block and pre-key all qualified arriving reservations daily
¨ Packages delivered to guest room not handed out at desk
¨ Audit cashier bank out process
¨ Over / Short addressed with-in 24 hours
¨ House accounts maintained daily
¨ Drive S.E.T. philosophy/conduct audits and post daily
¨ Assure that guest services are effectively utilized to recognize repeat guests.
¨ Understanding and adherence to Selling Strategy calendars by all Front Desk agents.
Managerial
¨ Schedules completed by Thursday each week
¨Maintain punch edits and payroll
¨ Develop employees, supervisors and managers for advancement
¨ Attend daily weekly and monthly meetings:
Daily Operations and meetings
Revenue Merchandising
¨ Training of all new hires completed as scheduled by policy:

Working Environment:
¨ Interior and on occasion exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions.
