Assistant For Operations And R&D Director

IMKO Workforce Solutions is looking for an Assistant for Operations and R&D Director for a local culvert company in Columbia, MO. The ideal candidate will need to be able to manage the existing and future plants Operations and growth and to work on new ideas and products for the company’s path of expansion into the future. This position is very demanding in its nature due to the fast pace and the on-call traveling required to accommodate the needs of the company in multiple aspects of production and company growth that it is involved in. There may also be some onsite traveling jobs as needed.

Hours: Full Time
Starting Pay: $65,000 - $75,000 per year with possible bonus pending performance!

Experience Needed in Work Knowledge and Skills:
Welding - Mig and Stick on Steel & Galvanized Steel & Poly Coated Material
Welding - Mig Aluminum Spool Gun
Welding - Plasma & Cutting Torch
Welding - IronWorker & Knowledge of use of all Metal Working Tools / Portable Units
Blueprint Reading with a good skill set for self-design and fabrication of needed items and or
repair parts or upgrade components etc.
Basic Knowledge of Pneumatics & Use of all tools in its spectrum.
Basic Knowledge of Hydraulics & Operation of Hydraulic Machines / Presses etc.
Basic Knowledge of Electric 110/220/480 3phase
Proficient skills needed in forklift operation of units that are up to 22,500lbs in capacity.
Basic Knowledge and skills needed in general equipment operation (Implements/Bobcats etc.)
Proficient skills in operation of overhead crane systems up to 10 Ton capacity.
Office Skills Required:
Basic Computer Skills =Email= Outlook / Word / Excel (laptop will be supplied)
Project Planning Skills = Plant Construction and or Procurement / Company Growth / Existing
Plant Upgrades & Expansion / Automation.
Produce Purchase Orders and Quotes and Project summaries as needed for each given project.
Produce any contracts or documents needed for each given project.
Produce Drawings / Blueprints / Project Layouts through completion with cost and purpose for
each given project or task in Phases for approval.
Vendor setup and Material Procurement in any fashion for a given project or task.
Plant & Plant Manager & Employee Management & This Positions Personal Training Requirements:
Organize personnel and resources at given plant / project to ascertain needed procurement of
supplies or personal or Sub-contractor etc. to complete given task at hand no matter the volume
or magnitude of the task.
Assist in employee education and training as needed. = Position / Safety / Skill Set Improvement
Assist in Manager education and training as needed. = Position / Safety / Skill Set Improvement
Learn & Implement the Policies and Philosophy & Goals of our company that are tied to thisposition’s requirement.
Eventual Progression to Plant Manager Plant operations Skill Set as Required by Metal Culverts through Job Experience with Steve Clark & Training to be used in Plant Procurement situations and for added growth opportunity for this position’s advancement.
Travel savvy understanding airports and self-travel to any location as needed with any type of
transportation vehicle or requirements as required by the project or task at hand.
Valid Driver’s license is required with the ability to drive pickup and possible trailer pending the
jobs needs.
