Assistant Football Coach - Offensive Line
Job Description
The role of the Assistant Football Coach - Offensive Line is to assist the Offensive Coordinator with an offensive attack for the MVSU Football Team; critiques and provides feedback on athlete's strengths and weaknesses as it relates to athletic ability; develops and maintains a depth chart of athlete's athletic ability; motivates athletes to excel in the sport/position; effectively demonstrate defensive strategies during game play; demonstrates and effectively counsels athletes regarding good sportsmanship on and off the playing field; demonstrates and effectively counsels athletes in regards to ethical behavior; provides counsel to student-athletes for assigned position; establishes and implements discipline actions in a fair and reasonable manner; supervisory responsibilities include graduate assistants and work-study students.
Required Qualifications
The Assistant Football Coach - Offensive Line should have either played college or professional football and have a very good knowledge of the game of football; must possess great "people" skills so that he can persuade young men to attend MVSU and play to their fullest potential; ability to interact and communicate effectively; possess a minimum of three years of collegiate/high school coaching experience or a combination thereof.
