Form of workL.J. Gonzer Associates is looking for individuals to join our pool of qualified candidates for potential assignment as an Assistant Electrical Engineer.
- Assist with the following under general supervision:
- creating/modifying design contract drawings which includes: Contract drawings, Reference drawings, Standard drawings, thought-out different phases of design including Original Bid, Addendum & Amplifying.
- creating/modifying design contract documents which includes: Scopes of Work, Specifications, PRDC's and Design Guidelines.
- construction design support including contractor submittal review on Asite
- attending field surveys/inspections, evaluating change order proposals, and preparing reports as instructed.
- attending design progress meetings and take meeting minutes.
- Ensure quality and adherence to applicable standards and specifications with emphasis on quality and safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- A Bachelor's degree in Communications Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- One year of experience in the field of Electrical Engineering OR a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Knowledge of various electrical systems and equipment.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks between stakeholders includes: contractors, operations, other departments and engineering personnel.
- Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills.
- Excellent skills with Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to set priorities and ensure timely completion of assignments.
- Knowledge/familiarity of Bentley MicroStation and/or CAD drafting software.
