Our client, a leading academic medical center has an opening for an Assistant Director for the Emergency Department.  The Assistant Director of the ED plays an important role in managing the registration and patient access activities for two sites in the NY area.  Responsibilities encompass directing all functions in the ED Patient Access area. The Assistant Director will oversee staffing levels, registration, revenue cycle, patient flow and performance improvement.  The Assistant Director is expected to foster an environment of professional development.  This position directs, supervisors and evaluates the Emergency Department on a 24 hour/ 7day a week basis.

Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s degree required

·         Strong communications

·         Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint

·         EPIC experience a plus

·         Weekend and evening coverage when needed

·         5 years’ experience

·         Union experience preferred
